Kartikeya with 2 wives

Kartikeya with Valli and Devasena

This traditional Mysore reverse glass painting depicts Lord Kartikeya standing with his consorts, Valli and Devasena, on either side. Adorned with an elaborate crown, intricate jewellery and floral garlands, the deity holds his sacred vel, a symbol of divine strength and protection. The ornate arch, detailed patterns and vibrant colours bring depth to the composition, while the reverse glass technique highlights the precision of this traditional art form. A beautiful representation of South Indian devotional art and its rich cultural heritage.
