Hey Bhagwan - Lord Ganesha with Parrot

The cabinet doors bear a breathtaking Mughal-miniature-inspired depiction of Lord Ganesha - serene, opulent, and playful - seated in his characteristic ease, accompanied by his beloved mushak at his feet and a vivid green parrot perched nearby, a lotus bloom rising beside him against a sky of blush clouds. The imagery is painted with the jewel-toned palette, delicate border work, and compositional richness of the great Mughal court ateliers, yet the subject is unmistakably, joyfully Indian and devotional.

The form of the cabinet itself is equally considered - gently arched doors that echo the silhouette of a temple gopuram or shrine niche, set upon elegantly curved cabriole legs in pale lacquered wood, crowned with a brass finial that completes its altar-like presence.
