Gauri Head

The mask is three-dimensional and sculpted, representing a human-like deity's face and the top of the head. It has a smooth, reflective metal -plated surface.The features are clearly defined. There are two large, wide-open painted eyes, with dark pupils and light-colored irises. The eyebrows are painted in a dark, curved line. The nose is straight, and the lips are prominent and painted a vibrant red. A small bindi (forehead mark) with a central stone is present. The mask is richly adorned with traditional jewelry. There are large, ornate, circular earrings attached to the earlobes. Around the neck, there is a multi-layered necklace, with one lower layer featuring embedded small, red-pink stones. The top of the head is rounded, suggesting a bald or shaven head, which is common in certain iconographic traditions.
