Floral Pichwai - II
The companion piece to the olive-ground pichvai, here reimagined on a warm blush field that shifts the entire mood toward dawn. The same architecture of blossoming branch, perched birds, and hillside floral undergrowth recurs, but the palette turns to apricot peonies and powder-blue doves, with a pale sun rising through scrolled clouds at the top edge. Together, the pair reads as a study in how a single iconographic template — nature exuberant, birds in courtship, the season at its fullest — can be reworked entirely through colour. Well suited to hanging as a pair, though each holds its own as a standalone statement.
